What is this blog?

I will be chronicling my life as a transsexual teenager here. This will include my thoughts, my feelings, my blood and my tears. I hope to raise awareness of the GLBTQ community and maybe even make the world that much safer for us to live in by showing what we’re really like.

What it Means to be Transgender

The lyrics of this song sum up being transgender as well as I've ever encountered.

I know what it feels like. I am 17 and I am a MtF too. I came out to my parents at the age of 13 and they've refused to help me to transition, all this time I have taken hormones on and off secretly (since I was 15), and I've wished to have a chance to live like who I am. Now I never may be able to do so, but it's nice to see that you've gained acceptance and you've started your journey. I hope you win.

P.S.-Have you started hormones? If so when?
